Kongregate/MochiGames Exposure

Here is what I've learned from the few days Trivia Warrior has been on Kongregate.

The game has been a played a lot more, this shocks me as MochiGames distributes to several game networks, yet none of them were Kongregate, Armor Games, Newgrounds, etc.

The game on Kongregate(after a few days) profits have almost caught up with the MochiGames profit(a few months). The amount of game plays also reflects this. Kongregate plays up near 800 as of this posting.

From this I believe that even though MochiGames has a huge distribution network, it seems more people come to Kongregate to play. I am curious if this is due to the Awards/Medals/Achievements and chat interface that surround the game. This makes the experience similar to that of a Xbox Live complete with Avatars and seeing what games your friends are playing.

On the other hand I am currently using MochiGames API for Ads and Leaderboards. So for running a game off Kongregate, MochiGames would perhaps be better as the the minor game portals provide no revenue to the developer. MochiGames portal page does list the leaderboard and integration with Facebook.

For now I will be upgrading the current game to Mochi API 3.7 and investigating the Kong API in more depth. Feel free to comment on this post or contact me directly, I am active in both portals.

Do you have any idea how much armorgames or kongregate pays developers to license a game?

I'm not really sure about Armor Games, but Kongregate sponsorship info can be found here: http://www.kongregate.com/pages/sponsorshipterms

My current game is on Mochi and was on HeyZap for a while.
